Seeking a highly experienced, self-directed Accounts Receivable Lead to take full ownership of the company’s billing, collections, and customer account management operations. This role requires deep AR expertise and the ability to independently manage complex processes, resolve escalated issues, and drive continuous improvement across the AR function. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, operates with minimal supervision, and ensures the AR department runs with accuracy, efficiency, and professionalism. As the company continues to scale, this role will also play a key part in shaping the future of the AR function and potentially build out a high-performing AR team over time.
Position Responsibilities:
● Own the application of all cash receipts (lockbox, ACH, wires, credit cards), research unapplied cash, and resolve discrepancies including chargebacks and disputes
● Serve as the AR SME for Ned’s Home, providing guidance and ensuring alignment with company goals
● Research unapplied cash and resolve discrepancies this includes handling chargebacks and disputes
● Partner with third party collection agencies to drive resolution of delinquent accounts through detailed payment research, documentation, and customer communication support
● Serve as primary AR liaison between Customer Care, Operations/Routes and Sales to ensure seamless service-to billing transitions
● Monitor key AR metrics (aging, unapplied cash, chargebacks, write-offs) and provide insights into leadership
● Lead root-cause analysis for recurring billing or payment issues and implement corrective actions
● Support acquisition integration by helping onboard new customer portfolios, billing processes, and AR workflows ● Reconcile MID (merchant credit card activity) with the bank and GL to ensure completeness
● Flexibility to work extended hours when needed. Qualifications
● 5+ years of experience in accounts receivable
● Experience in managing high-volume, recurring-service AR preferred
● Strong understanding of chargebacks, disputes, and merchant processing workflows
● Comfortable working in a rapidly growing, acquisition-driven environment
● Experience in RealGreen and/or PestPac preferred; Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
● Excellent communication and customer service abilities
● Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills
● Demonstrated passion and enthusiasm for contributing to business growth and success.
