Senior Manager, Global Indirect Sourcing

Job Summary:
Develop category sourcing strategies and execute sourcing events both as an individual contributor and by influencing and advising a network of procurement team members. Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to drive savings, demonstrate value, and achieve optimal total cost of ownership through supply base management, internal demand management, and process/policy enhancements. Accountable for overall category management & supplier performance within assigned categories.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
o Category Strategy Development
- Perform supply market research to inform category sourcing strategies. Advise stakeholders of actionable insights based on this data.
- Design and execute a long-term roadmap for strategically sourcing a complex Indirect commodity categories including Marketing, R&D, Engineering, Clinical, and Professional Services.
- Maintain category profiling methodology and category governance decisions.
o Engagement & Leadership
- Deliver expertise as trusted advisor to Executive stakeholders.
- Lead a team of cross-functional stakeholders in the governance of category sourcing activities, delivery of annual cost reduction commitments, areas of efficiency, and oversight of SRM activities.
- Lead standardization of requirements and specifications by managing stakeholder input and feedback channels.
- Provides mentoring and oversight of other Category Managers.
o Supplier Management/Supplier Development
- Oversee supplier identification, evaluation and exit where applicable.
- Ensure supply agreements meet or exceed contract standards for protecting/improving cost, quality, and service while maintaining supplier accountability for non-performance.
- Responsible for contract lifecycle management, including effectively enforcing Supplier obligations and leading timely action on contract renewal/termination decisions. Experience working with Legal Teams a plus.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with strategic suppliers to drive supplier development activities.
- Monitor supplier performance and lead key supplier Business Reviews with corporate and divisional senior leaders.
o Cost Management
- Perform market analysis, benchmarking, total cost modeling, and spend analysis within assigned scope
- Lead and/or facilitate bidding (RFI/RFP/RFQ), supplier selection, and negotiation processes.
- Accountable for cost management, including PPV and price negotiations.

- Demonstrates expertise across a complex set of spend categories, including knowledge of marketplace dynamics, supplier profiles, current events, and technical processes/capabilities.
- Strong analytical aptitude, including financial modeling, should-cost, and TCO analysis.
- Strong executive presence and ability to articulate a cogent category strategy.
- Expert negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
- Demonstrates ability to lead without authority
- Proven strategic thinker that delivers exceptional results and acts with sense of urgency.
- Technical acumen to demonstrate expertise within their assigned Category domain.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree required in Business, Engineering, or related field; MBA/Master’s degree preferred.
- CPM Certification a plus
- 10+ years’ experience in Supply Chain, Global Strategic Sourcing, or equivalent.
- Demonstrated strength as team leader to effectively navigate a rapidly evolving environment and create followership.
Travel:
- Up to 5% travel
- Work schedule, 4 days in office
