Location:

We are seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal for a position in our Commercial Litigation section. In this position, you will be providing complex litigation and trial support for the section’s cases and attorneys. The work is fast-paced and deadline-driven. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 10:00 am-6:30 pm, with one hour for lunch. Availability for weekends and extra hours during trial times is required.

DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to:

 Factual research and analysis of law sources

 Draft routine legal documents for review and use by the section’s attorneys.

 Review, analyze and interpret data, responses and records produced by opposing counsel.

 Preparing and e-filing pleadings and discovery documents

 Confirming critical court dates and deadlines

 Daily case detail management

 Extensive client and co-counsel contact

 Assisting the section’s attorneys with trial preparation and management

 Any other tasks as assigned 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Qualified candidates will have excellent technology aptitude and skills, proficiency with MS Office Suite – Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook; will be attentive to detail, organized, dependable and highly motivated; possess demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, multi-task, communicate clearly in writing and verbally, and to work as part of a team, as well as independently.

 College degree and previous litigation paralegal experience required

 Experience of working/e-filing in District Court of Delaware and Chancery court

 Schedule flexibility and availability for weekends and extra hours during trial times

 Proven ability to process and analyze the training and apply the knowledge to future assignments and projects

 Superior attention to detail, organizational and analytical skills

 Proven ability to:

 effectively manage high-pressure, fast-paced work environment

 multitask, adhere to time constraints and meet multiple deadlines

 work independently; analyze and apply provided concepts, instructions and procedures

 Excellent oral & written communication skills;

 Technology aptitude and proficiency
