Leave & Benefits Administration
- Administer the full lifecycle of leave of absence programs, including FMLA, state and local leaves, personal leaves, military leave, temporary disability, paid family leave, and other statutory and company-sponsored leave programs.
- Partner with the company's third-party leave administrator to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant leave administration in accordance with company policy and federal, state, and local regulations.
- Manage the ADA interactive process, including reviewing medical documentation, engaging with employees and managers, and evaluating reasonable accommodation requests.
- Provide timely, accurate, and compassionate communication to employees and managers throughout all stages of the leave process to ensure understanding of responsibilities, benefits, and return-to-work expectations.
- Collaborate with Human Resources, Payroll, Legal, Benefits, and business leaders to resolve complex leave, accommodation, and benefits-related matters.
- Maintain accurate leave records within the HRIS and internal tracking systems, ensuring complete documentation and audit readiness.
- Coordinate benefit premium collections for employees on unpaid leave, including invoicing, payment tracking, benefit reinstatements or cancellations, COBRA administration, and employee communications.
- Process company-paid leave, salary continuation, leave pay differentials, PTO coordination, and timely payroll submissions related to employee leave.
- Ensure compliance with state-specific paid leave requirements by maintaining tracking systems, employee notifications, required documentation, and payroll coordination.
- Support benefits administration by assisting employees with leave-related benefit questions and ensuring continuity of benefit coverage during approved leaves.
Compensation Administration
- Support the administration of the company's compensation programs, including base pay changes, promotions, transfers, market adjustments, incentive plans, and annual compensation review processes.
- Process and validate compensation transactions within the HRIS, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies.
- Partner with HR Business Partners and business leaders to prepare compensation analyses, salary recommendations, and pay equity reviews.
- Assist with compensation benchmarking by utilizing salary survey data and market analysis to support competitive pay practices.
- Generate compensation reports and analytics to support business decisions, workforce planning, budgeting, and leadership requests.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour laws, pay transparency regulations, and internal compensation policies.
- Maintain compensation documentation, job data, salary histories, and audit records in accordance with company standards.
- Collaborate with Payroll to ensure timely and accurate processing of compensation-related changes.
Compliance & Process Improvement
- Monitor regulatory changes affecting leave administration, benefits, compensation, ADA accommodations, and applicable employment laws.
- Conduct regular audits of leave, benefits, and compensation processes to ensure data integrity, policy compliance, and operational efficiency.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies between HRIS, payroll, benefits, and vendor systems.
- Assist in the testing, implementation, and continuous improvement of HR technology systems supporting leave, benefits, and compensation administration.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures, documentation, and process guides.
- Prepare reports, dashboards, and metrics related to leave utilization, compensation activity, benefits administration, and compliance.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of employee information while adhering to document retention and company privacy standards.
- Recommend process improvements that enhance efficiency, employee experience, and regulatory compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 4+ years of progressive experience in leave administration, benefits administration, compensation administration, or a related Human Resources function.
- Strong working knowledge of FMLA, ADA, state and local leave laws, COBRA, HIPAA, and other applicable employment regulations.
- Experience supporting compensation programs, including salary administration, pay changes, compensation analysis, or market pricing.
- Experience managing the ADA interactive accommodation process.
- Experience working with HRIS, payroll, leave management, and compensation systems.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret compensation and HR data.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential employee matters professionally.
