We are seeking a senior-level professional who combines client-facing business development with hands-on project delivery leadership. This role is responsible for acquiring and growing client relationships while ensuring the successful execution of complex commercial, restoration, construction, or facilities projects from scope development through closeout. The ideal candidate is commercially driven, operationally disciplined, and comfortable working across sales, construction, engineering, and compliance functions in high-stakes environments.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Client Growth
- Acquire new clients and develop long-term relationships with commercial, institutional, and property management stakeholders
- Identify client needs, assess facilities or property conditions, and propose tailored service or project solutions
- Lead contract development, renewals, and upsell of additional services (e.g., reconstruction, capital improvements, energy or operational enhancements)
- Present recommendations to senior decision-makers, including executives, boards, and ownership groups
- Consistently achieve or exceed revenue targets and pipeline growth objectives
Project & Operational Management
- Oversee end-to-end project delivery for commercial or distressed properties, from scope definition through completion
- Assess scopes of work, validate estimates (including Xactimate where applicable), and ensure contract accuracy
- Manage subcontractor selection, negotiations, scheduling, and performance
- Coordinate permitting, zoning, and regulatory approvals with local authorities
- Enforce OSHA standards, safety protocols, and quality control processes
- Conduct site inspections, walk-throughs, punch lists, and progress reporting
- Ensure compliance with building codes, contracts, and client specifications
Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Lead and coordinate internal teams, field staff, vendors, and external partners
- Develop and improve processes, procedures, and schedules to enhance efficiency and reduce risk
- Serve as the primary client point of contact, maintaining high levels of communication and satisfaction
- Support training, mentoring, and continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in business development, project management, construction, restoration, and facilities.
- Experience with restoration, disaster recovery, construction management, or MEP environments
- Familiarity with Xactimate, permitting processes, and public or institutional clients
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Construction Management, or related field
- Proven success managing complex projects and/or high-value client portfolios
- Strong experience with contract negotiation, scope assessment, and cost controls
- Working knowledge of OSHA regulations, safety compliance, and quality standards
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in fast-paced environments
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
