Job Title: Risk Advisory Manager

Key Responsibilities:
- Client Advisory Services:
- Provide strategic risk management and advisory services to clients, including risk assessments, internal audits, and regulatory compliance reviews.
- Assist clients in developing and implementing risk management frameworks, internal control structures, and governance processes.
- Offer guidance on industry-specific risks, regulatory changes, and best practices to ensure clients maintain compliance and effectively manage their risk profiles.
- Risk Assessment and Mitigation:
- Lead comprehensive risk assessments for clients, identifying and prioritizing key risks across financial, operational, and compliance areas.
- Develop risk mitigation strategies and action plans, collaborating with client management to implement effective controls and processes.
- Monitor and report on the effectiveness of risk management initiatives, making recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Internal Audit and Compliance:
- Design and execute internal audit plans, ensuring alignment with client objectives, risk profiles, and industry standards.
- Conduct audits of internal controls, operational processes, and compliance programs, identifying gaps and recommending corrective actions.
- Support clients in preparing for and responding to regulatory inspections, audits, and inquiries, ensuring readiness and compliance.
- Project Management:
- Lead and manage multiple client engagements, ensuring the delivery of high-quality work within agreed timelines and budgets.
- Coordinate with client management and internal teams to plan and execute projects, including risk assessments, internal audits, and compliance reviews.
- Identify and address project risks, issues, and challenges, ensuring successful project outcomes and client satisfaction.
- Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key client stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for risk management and compliance matters.
- Identify opportunities to expand client relationships and cross-sell the firm’s services, contributing to business development efforts.
- Ensure client satisfaction by delivering exceptional service and addressing client needs proactively.
- Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of junior staff and consultants, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment, encouraging knowledge sharing and continuous learning.
- Oversee the work of team members, ensuring the accuracy, quality, and timeliness of deliverables.
- Business Development:
- Participate in the development and execution of the firm’s risk advisory strategy, including identifying target markets, developing service offerings, and building client relationships.
- Support proposal development, client pitches, and other business development activities to attract new clients and expand the firm’s advisory practice.
- Regulatory and Industry Knowledge:
- Stay abreast of the latest regulatory developments, industry trends, and best practices in risk management, internal audit, and compliance.
- Conduct research and provide thought leadership on emerging risks, regulatory changes, and governance issues.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; CPA, CIA, or CISA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in risk advisory, internal audit, or compliance roles, with significant experience at a Big 4 firm.
- Deep knowledge of risk management frameworks, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
- Proven experience in managing complex risk advisory projects and leading client engagements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess risks and design effective controls.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships and communicate complex issues to non-technical audiences.
- Leadership experience, with the ability to mentor and develop junior staff and manage project teams.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with audit and risk management software is a plus.
