We are seeking a Litigation Secretary for one of our clients.

Qualifications:

  •  At least 3 years of recent legal secretarial and/or paralegal experience in a law firm, with litigation experience required.
  • Associate degree and/or paralegal certification preferred; 4-year college degree a plus.
  • Previous experience with federal and state court filing requirements, including e-filing.
  •  Knowledge of document management, electronic calendaring and PDF software required. 
  •  Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Microsoft Word and Excel. 
  • Highly organized and efficient with a proven ability to multitask and take direction, while independently tracking and achieving often-changing tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a cooperative office environment and communicate with attorneys and support staff.
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills, along with excellent proofreading skills.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support for assigned attorneys as well as backup support, as needed.
  • File maintenance (paper and electronic).
  • Assist with scheduling: including calendar maintenance; depositions; client/expert meetings.
  •  Answer phones and communicate with clients, court personnel, and vendors daily.
  •  Preparation/revision of correspondence, pleadings and documents.
  •  Perform other administrative duties, as assigned.
