Assistant to CEO & Chief of Staff | Job ID: Job #2269

Location:

The Chief of Staff (CoS) to the CEO will act as a strategic partner and trusted advisor to the CEO, providing high-level support and ensuring the efficient execution of the organization’s strategic priorities. This role involves managing key projects, streamlining communications, and facilitating executive decision-making processes. The CoS will also oversee cross-functional initiatives and help drive organizational effectiveness and alignment.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Support:

  • Act as a liaison between the CEO and senior executives, board members, and external stakeholders.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of strategic plans and business objectives.
  • Prepare and manage critical reports, presentations, and other communication materials for the CEO.

Project Management:

  • Lead and manage key projects and initiatives as directed by the CEO.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
  • Track progress, identify risks, and implement solutions to keep projects on track.

Operational Efficiency:

  • Optimize executive processes and workflows to enhance productivity and effectiveness.
  • Manage the CEO’s schedule, prioritize meetings, and ensure alignment with strategic goals.
  • Oversee preparation for board meetings, executive briefings, and other high-stakes engagements.

Communication and Coordination:

  • Facilitate clear and effective communication across the organization.
  • Serve as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders on behalf of the CEO.
  • Draft and review communications, including speeches, reports, and correspondence.

Leadership and Team Development:

  • Mentor and support senior staff and other team members as needed.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Identify and address areas for improvement within the organization.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field. Advanced degree (MBA, MPA, etc.) preferred.

Experience:

  • Proven experience in a senior management or executive support role, preferably in a similar industry.
  • Demonstrated success in project management and strategic planning.
  • Experience working closely with senior executives and/or boards of directors.

Skills:

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High level of discretion and confidentiality.
  • Ability to think strategically and act tactically.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and office software (e.g., MS Office Suite).

Working Conditions:
