The Chief of Staff (CoS) to the CEO will act as a strategic partner and trusted advisor to the CEO, providing high-level support and ensuring the efficient execution of the organization’s strategic priorities. This role involves managing key projects, streamlining communications, and facilitating executive decision-making processes. The CoS will also oversee cross-functional initiatives and help drive organizational effectiveness and alignment.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Support:
- Act as a liaison between the CEO and senior executives, board members, and external stakeholders.
- Assist in the development and implementation of strategic plans and business objectives.
- Prepare and manage critical reports, presentations, and other communication materials for the CEO.
Project Management:
- Lead and manage key projects and initiatives as directed by the CEO.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
- Track progress, identify risks, and implement solutions to keep projects on track.
Operational Efficiency:
- Optimize executive processes and workflows to enhance productivity and effectiveness.
- Manage the CEO’s schedule, prioritize meetings, and ensure alignment with strategic goals.
- Oversee preparation for board meetings, executive briefings, and other high-stakes engagements.
Communication and Coordination:
- Facilitate clear and effective communication across the organization.
- Serve as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders on behalf of the CEO.
- Draft and review communications, including speeches, reports, and correspondence.
Leadership and Team Development:
- Mentor and support senior staff and other team members as needed.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Identify and address areas for improvement within the organization.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field. Advanced degree (MBA, MPA, etc.) preferred.
Experience:
- Proven experience in a senior management or executive support role, preferably in a similar industry.
- Demonstrated success in project management and strategic planning.
- Experience working closely with senior executives and/or boards of directors.
