The Opportunity:

Our client is dedicated to helping pharmaceutical companies achieve optimal market access and reimbursement for their innovative therapies. The Role:

As an Account Director, you will play a pivotal role in our client's continued success by spearheading new business development initiatives within the pharmaceutical industry. You will be responsible for identifying, qualifying, and securing new client engagements, fostering strong relationships with key decision-makers, and translating our client's unique value proposition into tangible business outcomes.

´╗┐Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive new business development strategy targeting managed markets and payer marketing teams within pharmaceutical companies.
  • Conduct in-depth market research to identify and qualify potential clients with unmet needs.
  • Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders, including C-suite executives, market access directors, and payer marketing leaders.
  • Craft compelling presentations and proposals that showcase our client's expertise and demonstrate the value they bring to clients' market access and payer marketing challenges.
  • Lead the sales cycle, navigating negotiations and closing deals to secure new client accounts.
  • Partner with internal teams, including market access specialists, creative directors, and account managers, to effectively manage client engagements and deliver exceptional service.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and monitor industry trends to ensure successful new business development efforts.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in pharmaceutical sales, marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of exceeding new business development goals in a competitive environment.
  • Deep understanding of the managed markets landscape, market access strategies, and payer marketing challenges for pharmaceutical companies.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong relationship-building abilities and the ability to build trust with high-level decision-makers.
  • Strategic thinking, analytical skills, and a data-driven approach.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
